I am doing my research by studying and analyzing the astronomical observation data and understanding the underlying physics behind them . My primary research interest is " Gamma - ray bursts " ( GRBs ) , intense bursts of gamma - rays coming from the deep universe . My research mainly focus on data analysis on broad band observations of gamma - ray bursts and afterglows , processing and performing statistical study of satellite ( e . g . Swift , Fermi , Chandra ) GRB observation data and interpreting their physical implications . I am also interested in theoretical study of gamma - ray bursts and afterglows including their physical classifications , modeling and numerical simulation . As products of my research in GRBs , I have authored or co - authored 40 refereed journal papers ( most of them are publis hed in the Astrophysical Journal ) . According to NASA ADS citation statistics , as of March 2014 , I have 1685 citations in total , including 253 citations to the Frst - author papers , with a citation H - index 20 .
